![]() He has conducted laboratory studies on roofing and masonry materials. His experience includes design, survey and evaluation, failure analysis, and field service observation of all types of roof, wall, and sub grade waterproofing systems locally and nationally. Degree in Construction Administration at UW-Madison. He has worked in the construction industry since 1979 and has consulted in building envelope construction since 1988 after completing the B.S. Culliton is a Principal and Vice President of SRI Consultants Inc. Dupuis is currently the President of SRI. He has presented or taught on these topics at various roofing symposia, The University of Wisconsin, International Roofing Expo, MRCA, SPRI, and RCI(IIBEC). He has authored or contributed to numerous publications and research papers. He has worked on building envelopes in the United States and internationally. His area of studies lies within moisture movement, temperature modeling, surface solar reflectivity, research, and envelope failure analysis. from the University of Wisconsin College of Engineering. Mathew Dupuis is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states with more than 25 years of experience. Now working towards 50 years of successful research, designs, engineering, and investigations, SRI looks to continue to provide our clients with the extensive knowledge and professional service that our reputation is built on.ĭr. Mathew Dupuis took over as president of SRI. By the end of the 90s, SRI had become a provider of facility management and roof design for some of the largest corporations in the country.Īt the turn of the century, a second generation of engineers joined SRI. Through the 1990s SRI continued to grow and refine our practice. Rene Dupuis had become the president of the firm and was leading SRI on a course to be one of the most respected roofing and waterproofing consulting firms in the country. Soon SRI began designing, forensically analyzing, and testing low slope roofing. In the early 1980s, SRI’s work slowly shifted towards roofing and waterproofing while still doing structural work. But several externally funded research projects into roofing materials started a new path. Our work in the early years was focused on structural design and structural research. ![]() Structural Research Incorporated (SRI) was started by a group of graduate students from the University of Wisconsin. SRI is a leading engineering firm in the commercial building envelope and waterproofing industries. Our established ISO 9001 quality standards assure consistency in our technical approach from person-to-person and project-to-project, right across the continent.A Leader in Building Envelope Consulting. With our active involvement in R&D, our technical findings are integrated into codes and standards such as ASHRAE and LEED but also guide our recommendations as the design evolves. Our field review, water penetration testing and whole building air leakage testing, help confirm the construction quality. We help project teams prevent issues associated with water penetration, air leakage, vapor diffusion and thermal performance across all climate zones of North America.Īdditional services like energy simulation, condensation risk analysis and R-value calculations help inform the design. Our holistic approach to roofing, cladding, glazing and waterproofing enables us to offer solutions that consider all aspects of the envelope, as well as the interfaces between building systems. We start with understanding our clients’ performance objectives. Having the right information to make early decisions and manage risk is critical. It affects numerous other aspects of the building’s performance including energy usage, occupant comfort, durability, maintenance costs and mechanical equipment sizing. The building envelope can often be one of the most expensive components of the project. Focused on the building envelope for more than 30 years, we collaborate with owners, architects, contractors and manufacturers to create high performance building enclosures that are durable and energy efficient.
